Entertaining Two
This is a nice encapsulation of the basic themes I try to incorporate in much of my artwork; intergenerational play, ethnic diversity and individual features delineating each character. Although the fiction piece that I was sent [to illustrate] had a somewhat irritatingly delusional "voice," I ascribed certain alternative motives to the players. I ended up having some fun with the scenario. I think that by providing a different role to each of the guys that I depict makes the entire set-up seem more authentic and gives the viewer an opportunity to see the "action" from several vantage points.
